I know what it’s like to be a student and now I work directly with them. At the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I became a Teaching Assistant for the North Carolina Fellows Program to facilitate a cohort of students through a leadership journey. In 2018, I became involved with shaping the priority issues of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics at the U.S. Department of Education. I also served at the Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships--it takes a village. I now support students, parents, and high school teams as an Associate of College Access & Success with Dallas County Promise because every student deserves a postsecondary pathway and opportunity.
